How to use LexiCards

Dictionary upload

  1. In the left panel (sidebar), click the "Upload dictionary" button.
  2. In the window that opens, select a dictionary file in .xlsx format.
  3. The dictionary will be uploaded automatically and displayed in the list of available dictionaries.
  4. Select the desired dictionary to start learning.

Word learning

  1. Left-click on the selected dictionary.
  2. If the file is valid (at least 2 columns and 5 rows), the app workspace will open.
  3. In the center of the screen, the word is displayed, and you need to choose the correct translation from the four options below.
  4. Click on one of the options. The correct answer will be highlighted in green, and the wrong one in red, showing the correct choice.
  5. Use the arrows at the bottom left and right to move to the next word.

Dictionary settings

  1. Hover over the desired dictionary and click the button with three dots.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select "Settings".
  3. In the window that appears, select the columns for learning:
    • The first column — words to learn.
    • The second column — answer options.
    • The third column — hints and additional information.
  4. Click "Save" to apply the settings.
  5. The dictionary will be updated according to the selected columns.

Editing dictionary

  1. Hover over the dictionary and click the button with three dots.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select "Edit".
  3. In the window that opens, make the necessary changes to the dictionary data.
  4. To save, click "Save" to apply the changes.
  5. To cancel the changes, click "Cancel".

Renaming dictionary

  1. Hover over the dictionary and click the button with three dots.
  2. Select "Rename".
  3. Enter the new name in the window that appears and click "Save".
  4. The new name will appear in the dictionary list in the sidebar.

Downloading dictionary

  1. Hover over the dictionary and click the button with three dots.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select "Download".
  3. The dictionary file will be downloaded and saved to your browser's downloads folder.

Deleting dictionary

  1. Hover over the dictionary and click the button with three dots.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select "Delete".
  3. Confirm the deletion in the window that appears.
  4. The dictionary will be deleted and will no longer be available.

Important to know
